Goodreads 2025

If you’re a book lover and you don’t have a Goodreads account yet, consider this your gentle nudge to fix that. Goodreads is completely free, incredibly easy to use, and—most importantly—a game-changer for keeping track of your reading life.

With a new year comes fresh resolutions, and setting a reading goal is one of my favorites. Whether you’re an ambitious page-turner or a steady, cozy reader, Goodreads makes it simple to stay motivated. I usually aim for around twenty books a year (sometimes fifteen if life gets busy), which feels both achievable and satisfying. Watching that progress bar inch forward is surprisingly rewarding.

One of the best parts? Goodreads gives you a clear, shareable overview of everything you’ve read, making it easy to swap recommendations, compare tastes, and celebrate bookish wins with friends. Below, you’ll find my 2025 reading list—full of stories that entertained, challenged, and stuck with me long after the final page.

And one last thing: don’t forget to leave a review. Not only does it support authors, publishers, and fellow readers, but it also becomes a little time capsule of your own thoughts. Months (or years) later, you’ll be glad you wrote them down.

Happy reading—and may your TBR always be tempting, Hannah from Storyhouse Works
