“Maybe that’s what midlife really is. Not the peak or the crisis, but the reckoning when you stop running and notice who’s still there with you.”
DAVID ENKER (Amsterdam, 1970) is a writer and artist based in the Netherlands. His first book, Phantom Parents, explores the experience of growing up as an adoptee. He is currently working on Tonic for the Bones, a personal reflection on Parkinson’s disease and the pursuit of a meaningful life.
